much real stuff will be done in DC, and I am sure 90 and I would agree on his statement as well.

the government spends 6.2 trillion dollars, of which about a trillion just goes to debt, so 5.2 trillion dollars in "real" spending.
the government takes in 4.5 trillion dollars.
To just get to even, that would be 1.7 trillion in spending cuts. That is a 33% cut in real spending. And that just gets us to even.
