Veatch isn’t some newbie. He must have trusted peers at other school to consult with. Just spread the word (which would come as no surprise) to several people whose opinions he values, confidentially, that Mizzou is going to be bringing on a new women’s basketball coach next year and ask them for some ideas on who might be available and a good fit.
And I have no idea, but do schools use these headhunter companies and pay them to come up with a short list of coaching candidates? They do it for football in some cases I think. Would we spend money on that type of thing for WBB? Isn’t that a way of keeping Mizzou at arms length when putting out feelers to the AD and coaching communities to narrow down a list?
