let's not pretend you can go 0 in conference and have a long runway. If Gates has a bad year this year, he's likely out. That's the definition of a hot seat.

The team may be better. It looked like it at times. And he will likely have the full year absent something crazy happening but the team has to start to win and win enough or the Gates Era is over.
