do you understand what an offensive coordinator does? You have to have a bread and butter play and to attack this you have to have a play to attack edge, the outside, and the middle of the line of scrimmage. pretty much the same thing with the passing game. But the running game is the most important. Our bread and butter under Drink was the Outside zone read. Not quite as much under Kirby. He seems to like the inside zone more. (Noel does rip off the OZR better) The outside short passing game is designed to move DB's around to keep them from supporting the outside zone run. We could not connect. (now we know why) Everyone has execute. it is usually the lack of execution for failure not the play call. Alabama has a better team talent wise then we do and they were at home after a loss. We were just hoping for a better showing.
