SEC and B1G 4 team playoff representation based on current league: 72.5%

Everyone else outside of Clemson: 12.5%

They are simply protecting their institutions from being left out due to having the best teams and those teams beating each other up. Would you take a 3 loss Georgia team playing a ridiculous schedule or a 2 loss Big 12 team playing a bunch of teams ranked in the 25-50 range? The guaranteed slots ensures stupid stuff like that doesn't happen.
