I think it was late in the 2nd half. Brady threw a sideline pass to Theo - waited too long to throw it - and it looked like Theo was in triple coverage. Throw went out of bounds.
Meantime, Luther was running down the middle of the field wide open for a touchdown - but Brady didn't see him (wondering if Brady is working this week on seeing the entire field and not locking in on a particular receiver - It's got to be a topic of discussion).
Anyway, Luther came back to the huddle and as he jogged back, banged his hands a couple of times on his helmet in frustration - since he was wide open.
2022 - game in Knoxville against TN - Mizzou was actually in that game early in the 2nd half. Anyway, Dominic Lovett was wide open in the middle of the field - and Brady short armed the pass and it hit Dom in the shoes. Dom had the same disgusted look (by his actions on the field).
Obviously, Brady fixed things last year and quite honestly, he was very good against very good teams and in tough venues, including Athens, GA.
If he finds his mojo against A & M, all of this discussion and hang wringing after the Vandy game will be a thing of the past.
Just hoping he finds his mojo.
I would think one easy thing to fix.
If I'm not mistaken, when Brady misses on the long passes this season, he is long ON EVERY SINGLE THROW. I can't remember one example that he underthrew his receiver on a long ball.
I would think between Brady, Kirby, Drink - someone has to be telling him to put some more air under the ball and allow the receiver to make a play.
The long throws he's making this year - his receivers absolutely cannot make a play - because they're all overthrown.
