from storms two weeks ago, had a tree blown over on back yard. Using this clean up to also get a bunch of other trees cut and trimmed.

First guy quoted $4,000 for a full days job (can get done next week, or week after)
Second guy quoted $2,000 (will do for December)

Waiting to get third quote next week

I was expecting in the $4k neighborhood

Talked to the higher guy, and he talked about how the other guy did a lot of lowballing, figured he was likely paying with cash, etc. Basically said likely using illegals for labor.

talked about how he pays $30-40/hour, and his biz would go bankrupt, etc. if he matched.

Both get good yelp reviews

Would you pay more to keep the overall standards or work on the up and up and all that, or would you go cheap and support that type of under current.
