Earlier today that I was stunned at the arrogance and the cockiness of the Republican pundits and trump surrogates. It was almost guaranteed that chuckles would do the hyena thing and make a fool of herself. She was not capable of stringing three sentences together in a coherent fashion.

I thought that was dangerous.

She lied, unchecked throughout the entire debate, but she was poised, calm, professional, and fare I say presidential. People who didn't know anything about her would think she was fabulous. Well spoken, articulate, knowledgeable, and in control. She is, of course, none of that. But she was able to do this with the help of the moderators for 90 minutes. She was very very good. Not honest, but effective.

Trump played defense the whole night. He looked angry, he looked flustered, he looked frustrated. He let the first question go unanswered by chuckles and did nothing to draw attention to her evasiveness.

He didn't bring up the tax on unrealized capital gains, and the increases and tax elsewhere. The moderators weren't going to bring that up because that's a vulnerability for the Marxists. Trump blew that, bad.

I was very disappointed in Trump. He looked like he did in the first debate against screaming Joe Biden in 2020. Maybe too cocky, maybe not. But not good.

And I believe he underestimated chuckles the way he underestimated screaming Joe four years ago. Trump needed to focus on issues. And he didn't. Very disappointing.
