You can be suspended at any time for any reason. - We don't like to suspend people but sometimes it is necessary for the betterment of the community. Suspensions can last anywhere from 1 hour to 1 lifetime depending on the circumstances.

The moderators are not likely to be fair. - Since they are human, the moderators are likely to show favoritism to older Mizzou fans, and, people they know personally.

No flaming. - If you want to flame, take it somewhere else.

No agendas. - If you are on a crusade against or for something, TigerBoard isn't the vehicle to use for it. If you would like, I'd be happy to build a website for you and allow you to advertise it on TigerBoard.

Stay on topic. - No one likes to read about the Cardinals or the Royals on the basketball board. The boards only have a limited amount of space, so wasting it by posting off topic is, well, a waste of space.

Make sure you are discussing something. - Since it is a fact that KU Sucks, it really doesn't lend itself to a very good debate. Try to provoke some thoughtful discussion with your posts.

No hissy fits. - If you get a post removed, ask nicely for a more detailed explanation if you want one. If you aren't happy with the reason, then bring it up with me, Nick.

No commercial posts. - Nobody likes spam on the board. If you would like to promote or sell something on the board, contact Nick to figure out a way of getting your message across. Anything of a commerical nature posted without consulting us first will be removed.

Don't post anything libelous. - If you have some dirt, be prepared to show us proof. If we believe it, we will post it.

After all, it's going to be our butts in court, not your's. This includes, but is not limited to, any rumors you hear from that guy you know.

Don't slam Mizzou players or recruits. - If you have a criticism, deliver it constructively. Athletes read the board and they don't like being told they suck any more than you do.

Don't post porn. - Email it to Nick instead.

Try not to use abusive or obscene language. - If you feel the need to insult someone, try using words longer than four letters.

Don't be a jerk. - Everyone here likes to have a good time. You might think you are being funny or being cute, but you probably aren't. Jerkish behavior includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Resorting to ad hominum attacks. This means that instead of refuting the ideas presented in someone's post, you attack the poster.

Calling someone else any sort of name. That rarely worked on the playground, it never works here.

Commenting on the spelling or grammar of a poster. No one is perfect and I've got several English majors on call in case you ever think you are.

Attacking someone else because they are a fan of another school. TigerBoard welcomes civil discussion from all.

Reposting a message that has been removed. Doing this will likely result in a one-day suspension.

Be careful of messages to moderators. - I reserve the right to publish any email or instant messages sent to the moderators or me in order to subject the sender to public humiliation. No one likes to be abused, least of all me.

Only use one handle. - Unless you give me a good reason for having two handles, anyone who uses two handles is subject to having all handles removed.

Respect "Mob Rules". - If enough people vote to suspend you enough times, you will be mobbed. Don't attempt to come back under another handle.
