with Harris now on the ticket and the current VP, she just becomes the face of everything. Everyone is distracted by the election and after the election the focus will be the new president.

No one in their right mind thinks he's been running the country anyway and there are more than enough distractions to sneak by the next 4 months as long as he stays alive.
