The sun is the only reason we all exist, and the main reason we will live through the day. It’s visible daily and one can easily deduce its benefits.

Christianity is based on some dude who lived thousands of years ago that some other dudes used in the basis of some moral fables and attributed magic powers to him. And then for centuries immeasurable atrocities and hate and bigotry has been carried out in his name through the misinterpretation of those fables.

Obviously worshipping the sun is kind of pointless, but you could say the same about worshipping in any religion. You are certainly entitled to worship whatever you want. But as a Christian looking down on people who worshipped the sun as primitive simpletons in need of enlightenment is rather galling and certainly more than a tad ironic.
