Why doesn't he respect the constitution? Does he really think the Founding Fathers were stupid?

The Founding Fathers feared and loathed a pure democracy. They devised a Constitutional Republic to be a government of the people that protected the rights of all. The Electoral College was part of that design, and thank God our President is not selected solely on the basis of the group think in the country's big cities.
