create more statewide interest in the program and even nationwide - if both teams were good.

In basketball, weren’t the students required to attend otherwise low interest games in order to “qualify” to attend the Kansas game - for which there was much enthusiasm despite the imbalance of talent?

You can claim that Arkansas is a rival but that is so contrived. Kansas comments on these boards dwarf any other school by far. Why, do you suppose that is the case?
