It's not Hokum actually do some research into String Theory and Quantum Physics. It's not rationalization it's just pure Science.
This has nothing to do with Religion at all. Or insecurities and fear.
It's about how a particle can exist in two spots in the same Universe and also in another dimension as well or that a Particle can have Wave like Properties as well as existing as a Particle. And the fact that Observation can can effect the behavior of particles and how they act differently when observed, or the entanglement of particles that no matter the distance between them they are still connected and effect each other by some unseen force.
The whole Universe is based on Quantum Physics it's the building blocks of how the system works and the explanation of our existence. But I guess you dismiss the Study of Atoms, Particles and Waves, maybe you even Dismiss the Quantum realm !! Strange that you would Dismiss Einstein, Gustav Ludwig Hertz, Murray Gell-Mann, etc. How easily you are willing to ignore quantum mechanics and gravity and their interaction upon everything.
You do know that Matter and Energy cannot be created or destroyed. They can only be rearranged and change forms. It's the First Law of thermodynamics. The conservation of energy is a Absolute law and cannot be broken even by dark energy.
All that I posted is Science and Quantum theory that is based on mathematical equations and theories studied by the top Scientist in that field. This again isn't made up Hokum by me. Maybe you don't know that most top Scientist believe in the Multiverse and Multiple Dimensions.
When you pass your Matter and Energy will still exist in a different state and form. Make no mistake about that. What that state will be is a mystery.
But I suspect I have wasted my time in trying to bring a stubborn 75 year old who is clearly out of touch with Modern Science and possibly lacks the mental acumen to grasp the whole of Quantum Physics.
