There are 11 dimensions according to the on going scientific M theory which tries to unify all the string theories into one and a Being in the Higher Dimensions all have powers greater than 3rd dimensional beings aka US.
We are 3rd Dimensional beings.
Time is the 4th Dimension and those beings can control time. But they cannot create a parallel time line the previous timeline now does not exist.
A 5th Dimensional being would have the Powers of the 4th dimension a long with being able to exist at different points in time and Parallel universes do exist in this dimension. And each person would have separate lives within those dimensions. Cause and Effect will determine how their lives are effected. But different self's cannot meet their twin selves in different timelines.
A 6th Dim. being has all the powers of a 5th Dim. being plus he can see the past and present of all the Parallel universes and you can shortcut and see yourself in other universes.
7th Dim. being has all the powers of a 6th Dim. being plus those being can have infinite forms of themselves and move freely among the parallel universes.
8th Dim. being has all the powers of the 7th and infinite time to move between all universes and within those universes Form is not necessary they can see those forms but touching them is not necessary and those forms can change at will.
9th Dim. will have their own Separate laws of Physics and many Beings and Civilizations might occupy the same spatial area and have no knowledge of each other. A 9th dim. being would have mind boggling super powers with no physical form being able to travel through out time and space through infinite universes.
The 10th dimensional being would have infinite powers he could do the things that are beyond our comprehension, he could control space and time and present in all the infinite universes at the same time and he could control and create all things and observe them. So as you can see he Would Be known in our Dimension as GOD.
The 11th dimension is the dimension of Mathematics to make all of this feasible and observable. The Code or Language created by the 10th dimensional being that create the branes to put it into motion the fabric of everything.
Yeah M theory aka all string theory combined is a a heck of a thing or maybe it's just superstition Dreamed up By Quantum physicist and backed up by math and observable particle analysis from Particle Physicist and such.
Possible those ole hillbillies have innate insight into things even without having a Grounded scientific understanding.
