Harris will recieve a slight marginal bump in the polls.
A-list operatives can not repair her image. She was immigration czar and never went to the border. When questioned her reply "I haven't been to Europe either".
Illegal immigration of foreign nationals into this country is the number one issue. That is not going away.
As for Democrats being stoked, I frankly would not be surprised if she is replaced at the Democratic convention. Especially if it is percieved she likely will lose to Trump.
You succintly point out that smart players can spin a softer, gentler Harris. This is true. What is also true
is a large group of democrats feel they have been lied to by the Democrats. Disenfranchising 14-15 million democrat voters isn't easlily forgotten.
You are fooling yourself saying inflation is easily forgotten. Tell that to people that put gas in their cars and buy groceries.
As for Trump being Trump, he is like a bull in the china shop. Rough around the edges who speaks his mind. Sometimes that comes across as rude or petty.
But this election feels different.
no one is changing their minds. They are already made up. As for the "undecided's" maybe 3%-4%.
There is not going to be a lot of movement in the polls.
