You have to go back that far to even get a partial win because the Eastern half of Europe certainly doesn’t celebrate their takeover by the allies and the horror they lived for the next 50 years. Gorbachev finally gave them their liberty. Long after the beaches of Normandy were stormed.


Since then there’s been no liberty restored. Just stacks of bodies from us bombs and hardship from us sanctions.
