Same thing is happening in a lot of places, especially in Europe though. Was reading an article about Lisbon being just overrun with American tourists, in large part because with the dollar being so strong versus the euro, a lot of Americans have finally figured out it's not all that expensive to travel to Europe if you know what you're doing.

You can find a decent hotel in any major European city for less than $100 / night. A Hampton Inn anywhere in America is gonna be at least $150.
