Harris is not a good candidate, but if she is passed over many in the black community will revolt, and that is a demographic that has been starting to slip through the Democratic Party's fingers lately. A surprising number of African Americans support Trump and that worries the Dems.

Mike Obama might be a way to mitigate that problem, but there are problems with transferring already donated campaign money to him, not to mention delegates which have already been won and pledged to Joe AND Kamala. There are some major hurdles there, apparently.
