absolutely not be the Republican nominee' if Joey were not the Democratic nominee?

I've never seen anyone else make such an assertion and honestly don't see the logic or reason behind it.

A lot of Republicans didn't want Trump, but they had no ability to even come close to stopping him.

How would a Kamala or Big Mike on the Democratic ticket have changed the Republican primaries to such a large extent?
