If Joey had announced two years ago he wasn't running again, Trump would absolutely not be the Republican nominee. This scenario is the exact reason they (the media, and the Dems behind the scenes) have been propping up Trump. They want to sneak Newsom on the ballot where their perception is people will vote Not Trump for just about anybody, especially someone unlikable like Newsom.

I've been saying this for years and it's playing out exactly as I expected. Bookmarket.
