1. Trump was talking in hyperbole, his native language.

2. The US through the CIA was intentionally poking the bear hoping to fight a proxy war to weaken Russia, gain access to valuable resources, and enrich the military industrial complex. They *wanted* and *caused* this war by goading Russia into invading.

3. The US & NATO could end the war in short order and should do so, even though it would be a matter of taking their losses for their own stupid decisions. Ukraine has been devastated and it is mostly the fault of the idiotic US leadership.
