movers and shakers all knew that Biden had dementia & that it would continue to get worse, but they still pushed him into the white house. Is that really the best that they could do, or did the Deep State just need a malleable puppet?
I would guess that your response will be along the lines of, yeah, but it's a worse travesty that the Republican wing of the liberal party would put Trump up as their "best candidate".
Regardless of whether that is the case or not, I don't think that the analogy holds water. I don't believe that it's the Republican movers and shakers that want Trump as their candidate... the "Trumplicans" have forced him onto the ticket over their objections for the most part.
He is far from my ideal candidate, and he has a lot of baggage, but the main thing he has going for him from my perspective, and probably from many/most of those supporting him, is that "the establishment" hates his guts. There is a saying that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend.". Trump is certainly an enemy of the Deep State. By their continuing persecution of him by the media, the courts and the political power brokers, even in his own party, it would seem that he is one of their most feared enemies... perhaps THE most feared enemy, and many of the people absolutely love that.
