Where government can help is end soft on VIOLENT crime policies.

Drugs should (for the most part) be decriminalized. Note that I'm not saying to do what Portland tried, but 3 strikes and life in prison for non-violent offenses just taxes the already strained prison complex. Also, prisons should not be private industries, or they should submit to much more rigorous oversight.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
