they sometimes use to measure your lie angle for clubs either, at least for distance. Those things add about 10 yards to every iron i've ever hit off them but i'm not sure why.
If you're outside hitting off grass and they've got a launch monitor or that type of equipment it's ok, i just don't like hitting stuff inside. I don't feel like i ever get loose inside. They can also manipulate the settings on those launch monitors as well, so you've got to watch out for that. There's no substitute for playing with a club or set of clubs. If you buy a set of clubs from Edwin Watts you can return them in 90 days and use that purchase price towards a different set if you don't like them.
