But they really don't. They can be contradictory at times with things that you have asserted quite vehemently on here in the past.

Yet, on at least one occasion when I mentioned that to you, you got all upset and denied that you believed that, along with a stream of insults, of course, and refused to clarify your position, which is a quite common, recurring theme for you.
OK, so you believe that HOA's, which are at least a quasi-government, with territorial boundaries in which they claim and exercise authority to tax (though they may use other names), require people to do things and prohibit them from doing other things, are legitimate as all of the original residents agreed to be governed by them when they purchased or otherwise took possession of property within their boundaries.
Just to clarify, do you think that *some* governments are or can be legitimate? eg. a government that people voluntarily join?
