No you did not receive "a full ride" if you were Prop 48 - You had to pay your own way that freshman year. Yes there were things called Pell Grants but that is what made it so ludicrous. Guys foregoing juco or elsewhere to "pay their own way" at Nebraska. And the three schools you named feasted off them. The other thing is that Texas did not join/help form the Big 12 until 1996. And that is true they stopped the avalanche of Prop 48s at Nebraska. Funny how that is right when Mizzou's program started turning around and competing with KSU and NU.
