a new defensive coordinator alone is pretty disruptive. throw in that we lost a 1st round DE, a 2nd round CB, a 3rd round LB, a 5th rd CB plus a 5th round safety, and that's a decent chunk taken out of the defense. sure there are guys coming back and new guys coming in but that's a lot of elite-level production to replace. simply expecting guys to step in and replace them is pretty wishful thinking. hope it happens but it will be tough to match the quality of last year's defense.
