but they aren't likely pondering that choice on the day they are walking across the stage and getting their diploma.

They're excited to finish their degree, and excited about the prospects of using it and what kind of career and future they'll have with that degree.

And Butker kinda sh*t on it with his message

Graduation day is a time to be happy and dream of the possibilities that your new degree will bring you in life

My whole point is its a message delivered at a really poor time & setting.
