bottom feeder of a bottom feeder conference. That doesn't really seem like a good value add for their students nor their student athletes.
MU joined the SEC because:
1) the big xii was unstable
2) the big xii payouts were lagging well behind what our rival/peers in the B1G (Illinois and Iowa) and the SEC (Arkansas) were making thus putting us at a competitive disadvantage
3) the SEC is the premier athletic conference
4) we knew we would be competitive
None of those things are true for Missouri state joining conference usa
