Our current Whirlpool is 7 yrs old and ice maker just broke

repair man said that its not holding temp(cant freeze the ice in the door ddispenser), pointing to the compressor probably wearing out, the ice not working was just the first drop in the bucket. Freezer set at 0 degrees and hovering around 7-8 degrees.
