actions were not victimless (narrator: they are) b/c he claimed a lower value on his property for taxation purposes and higher value for loan purposes.
of course Stewart isn't dumb, he's just disingenuous. He knows full well that a government assessor decides the value for taxation purposes and a bank makes their own valuation for loan purposes.
Stewart's property was taxed at a rate of something like 800k when it sold for 17 million or whatever. So exactly the same thing he's trying to accuse Trump of doing with his properties for tax purposes.
his other rant about some hypothetical people NOT getting favorable loan rates b/c Trump lied to get his favorable loan rates is nonsense on it's face but in court DB said they were aware of a discrepancy in the value of his Trump Tower residency but it was such an insignificant amount relative to his total wealth it was not even considered.
