That’s why as a fan I restrain my excitement over the year to year recruiting classes a school signs.
As an example …MU men’s BB signs a 5 player top 10 high school recruiting class.
Days gone by that would be an incredible success and might lead to a period of winning and fan excitement.
Now it really means there will be 5 freshman , most of whom will sit , as transfers , older players , hog the minutes . Several of those freshman will be gone after one year, some transfer down , some good enough to have had eventual success at MU had they stayed .
To me it’s seems logical that the transfer world would ruin college basketball.Maybe it has for some long time fans . It’s just the new norm for a different era of fans.
