But that’s exactly where we’re headed. Two conferences of 20 or 24 teams playing for a championship and everybody else excluded. I see a preseason of a couple of games against excluded teams (which can have their own championship tournament) and a 10-12 game conference schedule. Your hated subjectivity will be replaced by NFL style playoffs.
And as a side note about your apparent hatred for subjective choosing of playoff teams, are you not old enough to remember when the national champion was chosen by a vote?
