not so easy to just send them home: There are existing laws to guarantee hearings concerning asylum before they can just be sent back. Trump had four years to propose new legislation (two years with Republicans in control of Congress) and accomplished nothing (similar to your complaints about Biden). The border problem lies with Congress, and the recent proposed bipartisan legislation (Lankford of Oklahoma was instrumental) is at least a start in the right direction. Hard to fault Biden's criticism of Trump that he put selfish motives over the good of the country
