Biden's speech wasn't to convince the far gone MAGAts of a damn thing. It was for dems and independents.
News Nation (the by far best cable news station) had a focus group of about 30ish dems and independents (they did not specify how many of each), in Michigan.
At the end they asked how many were more likely to vote for Biden , how many less likely and how many no change.

All but three for first category, two on the second and one on the last.
