I often hear the rationale there can be a murder charge when a third party kills an unborn baby is that the mother did not want the baby dead. From a moral and even intellectual standpoint, how does the feelings of the mother make any impact on whether the unborn baby is a living human or not?

Please explain why this message is being reported.
