He was saying things like natural laws come from God, and were described in pamphlets by John Locke, Thomas Aquinas and many others. This just in, John Locke and Thomas Aquinas were humans. Their interpretation of god's natural laws may not be the only interpretations around.
And clearly, the America, hating atheists on this board, wouldn't dare proclaim that anything comes from God. They don't know what natural rights mean, or why we have them, they just exist "in nature" I guess.
Clearly, many of our laws and rights come from the founders' INTERPRETATION of god's laws. But to say that they come from God, directly or indirectly, is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion.
Levin also differentiated between natural rights and practical rights. Something I have not heard the America haters on this board announce. Practical laws are laws against selling drugs, reckless driving and misgendering an insane person.
*. I assume that by disagreeing with one of the great men and great minds of Maga land, I still remain a conservative republican partisan hack, an absolutist, or a Nazi. Or, depending on who is doing the name-calling, a communist or a Marxist.
*. Can any of the freedom loving, anarchistic atheists on the board explain the relationship between natural rights and God's rights?
