It is always us vs them, using horrible hateful rhetoric everywhere. It is pervasive every where. You do not think kids learn from that? Then you give them access to guns, and inability to see the real consequences of that.
On top of that, we have gun ownership being celebrated, and then we are trying to ban guns altogether for from certain people.
Not to mention the video games on top of all that, where killing people for sport is a great thing. And a world where governments kill people with no remorse.
