UConn the current champion is pretty common for most of the better teams. Here’s their rotation from last season
Hawkins, a top 50 recruit in his second year
Jackson, a top 50 recruit in his third year
Karaban, redshirt freshman in year 2
Newton, up transfer
Sanogo, a top 75 recruit in year 3
Alleyne, HM transfer
Calcaterra, up transfer
Clingan, top 50 freshman
Only 1 of their 5 starters was new or a transfer. If you can stack classes and hit on enough of your recruits you don’t have to go with a new team every year.
Kansas won the year before with even fewer transfers.
Baylor the year before. They did have several transfers, but they were multi year transfers.
