I will give you an example of 2 plays from Lewis against Vandy, but really I could do the same for just about the entire roster.
First play. The offensive action creates a wide open driving lane for Lewis. He misses a layup that’s about as open as you will get in the SEC. He did get the rebound and got fouled.
Second play. Was a similar action. Lane was open. Lewis is driving for an open layup. Bounces the ball of his knee.
It’s not the scheme that prevented those 2 layups. It’s also not talent. Because of the losing it’s mental. Everyone is trying to hard.
Now on defense I do think there are some changes worth looking into.
