That you find nothing troubling about that is yet another indication of your desire for state punishment for that which you don't like.
The New York Times is not a legal entity and does not litigate injury. It is a for profit operation. That it printed a story, series of stories or any expose does not mean it is some superior being of righteousness, and it has no capability of determining guilt or injury.
That you cite it as some superior agent of right and wrong is telling.
