old. Let's assume they are just far, far off and it's only 1 billion years old. We now know 173 years of recorded data tells us something about the climate. Now, many of those years had unreliable measuring methods, but we'll just ignore that. That means we are making determinations of what is going on from a climate standpoint based on 1.73e-05% of the full data.

Just keep that in mind.
