was wrong in leaving them out of the playoff by beating a great Georgia team, but they chose not to fight.
Competitors don't back out, back down or opt out. They put their teammates/team first over potential personal gain. Win or lose against Georgia, Florida State could have been America's great underdog story. But they chose to surrender, rather than to go down swinging.
I think players who quit on their teams, coaches and teammates by opting out are the lowest of the low. I'd never hire them in the business world, nor would I draft them if I were an NFL GM. They are self-serving, prima-donnas.
