I was in law school and actually ran a betting pool called "The Sheet" where you could bet on all the Big 8 games, 3-4 Big 10 games, the top 5-6 National games and the Chiefs and the football Cardinal games. We had to set our own odds as they didn't even come out in the day until Thursday evening and we wanted people to start betting on Tuesday. Mizzou in those days would beat USC, Neb and Ohio St and lose to Ill, Iowa St and kansas . BTW never had a losing week. Al Onofrio's son -Lou--was in law school with us. One last thing, we had to mimeograph "The Sheet" as there were no such thing as copiers in the day. Dean Edwards let us do it using the law school mimeograph machine LOL
