OP if you want to discuss it. They spell out what was being demanded by Russia in March 2022, which Ukraine was at least willing to consider perhaps with further negotiation, but the West, through their representative, Boris Johnson, said there will be no agreement at all, it's war.
By doing that, the West sealed Ukraine's fate. It's really as simple as that.
