But comparing a IAA/FCS football program to a mid-major basketball program is not "apples to apples." The 350 DI basketball programs compete on an equal status with respect to scholarship numbers, championship competition (remember Norfolk State in 2012?) etc. On the other hand, there are different numbers of scholarships in FCS (85) and FBS (63). Plus, the respective championships are completely separate. I know this doesn't directly answer your question, other than establishing that MU has never lost to a "lower division" football program. The question of Missouri's worst loss in football to an "inferior" opponent is probably more a matter of opinion.
