Dad bought me a .22 single shot rifle for my 12th birthday.
I learned to shoot hunting rabbits, squirrels, pigeons, cats, coons, possums and pretty much everything wild that moved and didn't have a name attached to it. Used to enjoy dropping squirrels from their high perches. My Grandma said if I skinned and dressed a squirrel, she would cook it for me. After eating roast squirrel, I lost my enthusiasm for hunting them.
