Sports reference says we’re at 659 with a note that the ncaa recognizes 661.

Wikipedia says 718.

Neither make any reference to games being forfeited.

Winsipedia, which is a separate college football database, says 709.

That’s a pretty good discrepancy.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
