in a world that has been altered by the heavy hand of Russia to people who live in an alternate reality where Trump is a rampant racist Hitlerlike figure is short sighted at best.

I'm not a Trumpist, but I do live in reality, which is a world where there were just enough people ****ed off at the government that we actually elected Donald Trump to the presidency despite all the experts and media people telling us he was awful wasn't enough to overcome the ****ed off-ness.
There's a solid percentage of this country that still don't get that.
Dismissing them is stupid, especially after what they've shown they can do to maintain the facade.
Trump shouldn't be running, if he had the good of the country in his mind, he wouldn't.
But this is the world we live in. It's silly, it's moronic, it's a ****ing TV show, and we run the world and it's insane.
We need reality.
